The Education Administration in the City of Stockholm is Sweden's largest municipal administration with approximately 16,000 employees.

The unit for student health support and reception in adapted schools is a unit within the Education Administration. We handle and decide on admissions to adapted schools, operational support, additional funding, and process applications to the city's special central teaching groups, CSU.

The unit collaborates closely with other units within the department and with other departments within the administration. We offer you the opportunity to work in a high-quality operation with engaged and competent colleagues.

Your role

We are now looking for a psychologist with solid experience in the assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of intellectual disabilities. The position is a permanent employment starting in the spring term by agreement.

You will be part of the team responsible for preparing decisions on applications for admission to adapted schools. The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration within the team. This also includes contact with schools in the city and conducting development work within the team related to its main mission.

In addition, you will be a resource for the unit's other teams and also contribute to the department's broader support to the operational departments.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • psychology degree (licensed psychologist)
  • good experience in assessment and evaluation regarding intellectual disabilities
  • good knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities
  • interest and knowledge of the school's mission and governing documents
  • good computer skills and experience working in digital systems
  • very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious is:

  • experience working as a psychologist in schools, habilitation, or clinics
  • experience working as a psychologist in adapted schools
  • experience in overarching administrative work, authority exercise, or equivalent
